Resurfacing expected to affect traffic on canyon road
- Share via
Laguna Canyon Road will occasionally be reduced to one lane during the next week as crews resurface portions of the state-owned highway.
The road in the Big Bend section will be down to one lane between 8 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, and from 8 p.m. June 9 to 6 a.m. June 10. Since April, crews have installed conduits and vaults below street level as part of a project to place utility equipment underground.
Come June 10, the city will halt work for the busy summer season. In September, workers will install cables and other equipment, followed by the removal of the overhead poles and wires, which the city expects to be completed by mid-2017.
