Obituary: Florence June Daniel Renoudet

Florence June Daniel Renoudet — a longtime employee of the Walt Disney Co. and Burbank resident — has died. She was 81.

Born in Joliet, Ill., on March 23, 1929, Renoudet went on to become an accomplished singer and was a competitive and synchronized swimmer on Chicago’s famed Town Club Swim Team. She died on Feb. 18.

In 1957, she moved to California where she began a 35-year career in the music department at Disney. She was executive secretary to Robert Jackman and, later, Jay Lawton, was a part of the scoring for the films “Pollyanna,†“Mary Poppins,†“The Love Bug,†and “The Parent Trap,†among others.

She is survived by her husband, Pierre ‘Pete’ Renoudet; sister, Dorothy Zachary; two nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her stepmother, Helen Kramer White Daniel, and brother-in-law, Richard Zachary.

A memorial service was held Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Burbank.
