Trump announces retired Gen. John Kelly as his pick to head Department of Homeland Security

Trump’s transition team officially announced Monday that his choice to head the Department of Homeland Security is, as expected, retired Marine Gen. John F. Kelly.
Kelly is a former commander of the U.S. Southern Command with “unique insight into some of the challenges the United States faces at its southern border,” the announcement said.
