Letters: Fresno shooting and three-strikes

Re “Man shoots 4 co-workers at Fresno plant, 2 fatally,” Nov. 7
While many were focused on election returns, a few were grieving for loved ones who will never return.
On Tuesday, in Fresno, Lawrence Jones, “a career criminal who had just been discharged from parole this summer,” shot four co-workers, two fatally, execution-style.
At the same time, California voters, in their divine wisdom, voted yes on a proposition to soften the three-strikes law.
The price could be very high for many. This price needs to be paid by hardened criminals, not a forgiving voter.
