Today's photo of the day is six photos, stitched together in an animated GIF. Doug Santo captured these images at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia in February. Hummingbirds "are such beautiful little guys, and the surprise is when you get up close you can see they are wild animals and fierce competitors," Santo said. He used a Nikon D700.
