Motorcyclist killed on Ortega Highway
A motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a pickup truck on Ortega Highway in Orange County on Saturday morning, briefly closing the highway and snarling traffic, authorities said.
The victim’s motorcycle collided with a black Toyota pickup truck about 11 a.m. on the highway about 20 miles east of San Juan Capistrano, according to a spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol. The highway reopened to motorists about 12:40 p.m.
The victim in the crash has not been identified, authorities said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
