Huntington Beach police are investigating the discovery of the bodies of two men in a park Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Few details were immediately known about the investigation, which began shortly before 1 p.m. after a person walking in Bartlett Park called authorities to report what the caller “believed to be two bodies,” police said in a statement.
Responding officers confirmed they were indeed bodies, but officials said they could not immediately confirm a cause of death or identity of either man.
Police said they did not believe there were “any outstanding suspects or danger to the community at this time.”
Detectives remained at the park, described by officials as “heavily (covered) in trees and brush,” with a series of dirt trails. The park is bordered by Coldwater Lane and Beach Boulevard, and Yorktown and Adams avenues.
