A large eucalyptus tree at the Marine boot camp in San Diego crashed to the ground Thursday morning, injuring about 15 people.
Most of the injuries were minor but two people were taken to hospitals with moderate injuries, the Marine Corps said.
The injured were family members who had come to the base to watch graduation.
The tree fell as family members were gathering near the main parade deck to watch recruits run by, an exercise known as a “motivational run.”
