The first incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday when 26-year-old Joshua Daniel Roberts was shot from a passing car while he rode his bike on the 1500 block of Sheridan Avenue, police said.
Roberts was airlifted to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Shortly before 4 a.m. on Sunday, another shooting occurred inside a home on the 800 block of W. Monterey Avenue, authorities said.
When police and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found 24-year-old Alex Noriega shot multiple times, said police Sgt. Michael Neaderbaomer.
Noriega was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition but was expected to survive, Neaderbaomer said.
Police have no information about the people behind the shootings or their motivations, Neaderbaomer said.
