Toddler is struck and killed by her father pulling out of driveway, police say

A 2-year-old girl was fatally struck by her father’s car as he pulled out of the family’s driveway in the San Francisco Bay Area city of Richmond, police said.
Lt. Andre Hill told the San Francisco Chronicle the death occurred about 2:20 p.m. Thursday.

Arriving officers found one of the girl’s parents clutching her in their arms.
Police spokeswoman Lt. Bisa French said it was a tragic accident.
