The driver of an SUV was killed Thursday morning after he reportedly ran a red light and collided with two vehicles in North Hills, police said.
The driver, whose name and age were not immediately available, was pronounced dead about 5:40 a.m. at the scene of the crash at Haskell Avenue and Parthenia Street, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Jimmy Chong. A second driver was transported to an area hospital and remains in stable condition.
The driver of the Chevrolet Blazer was headed south on Haskell when he drove through a red light and collided with a westbound driver, Chong said.
The SUV overturned and collided with another driver heading east on Parthenia.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision, Chong said.
