Los Angeles police Friday evening closed several downtown blocks and evacuated apartments in the area because of a suspicious vehicle.
At 6 p.m., police found a stolen car and as they approached, they determined that something about it was suspicious.
About 9:30 p.m., police said apartments in the area were being evacuated.
The streets reopened shortly after midnight, when police determined that there was nothing unusual inside the car.
