Reader photo: Night rider
There are plenty of native Angelenos who have lost their taste for driving. And who can blame them? With all the traffic jams, road construction detours and rude drivers out there, it’s easy to wish for a day without driving.
Armin Adams’ photo, however, captures the romance of driving perfectly: a dark night, streetlamps above, a slightly blurry (and quickly moving) scene through the front window. Sure, it helps that Adams is in a 1969 Chevelle Malibu. And that the reason for the outing is “a night ride to satisfy a hunger for good ramen,†as Adams wrote in an email. Either way, Adams’ photo is a reminder that maybe there’s still some fun and adventure to the road ... if you’re willing to find it.
Adams shot this photo with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II with an old Yashica 28 mm manual lens.
