1 dead, 3 injured in vehicle roll-over near Indio
One person was killed and three others badly hurt when a vehicle rolled over near Indio, officials said Tuesday afternoon.
The three injured victims were taken by a helicopter and ambulances to hospitals, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The other victim was pronounced dead at the scene near Dillon and Berdoo Canyon roads, a Fire Department spokesman said.
The vehicle rolled over about 4 p.m. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol were gathering evidence at the scene. No other details were immediately available.
