Man fatally shot in Duarte area
Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the Duarte area early Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
About 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a person down in the 2000 block of Broderick Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the department said. His identity was not immediately released.

No suspect information or additional details about the incident were available.
There have been approximately 10 homicides within two miles of the incident since 2007, according to the Times Homicide Report database.
