LAPD seeks clues in Mid-Wilshire shooting death
Los Angeles police Monday night were seeking the public’s help in finding a gunman who killed a 42-year-old man in front of his Mid-Wilshire home.
Milton Fernandez was pronounced dead at the scene early Monday in the 1400 block of Cloverdale Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The attacker walked up to Fernandez and two neighbors about 3:25 p.m. and fired multiple rounds, the LAPD said.
“Fernandez was hit by the gunfire and collapsed,†police said in a statement. The others were not injured.
Since January 2007, at least 71 homicides have been reported within two miles of the killing scene, according to a database by The Times Homicide Report.
Anyone with information regarding Fernandez’s slaying is asked to call Det. Jose Robledo or Det. George Bowens at (213) 382-9482.
