Santa Ana man, 22, shot to death early Sunday while walking near home

A 22-year-old man was shot to death in Santa Ana early Sunday, police said.
The man was walking in the 200 block of South Newhope Street at around 2:35 a.m. when several shots were fired from a silver SUV, hitting him in the upper torso, the Santa Ana Police Department said in a news release.
The man, who has not been identified, made it to his home a short distance away before dying at a hospital, police said.
