Bomb threat cleared, evacuations lifted at high school, polling place
Palisades Charter High School was temporarily evacuated on election day after receiving a bomb threat on social media, forcing the on-campus polling station to close as officials investigated the scene.
Bomb-sniffing dogs were called in to search the campus in the 15700 block of Bowdoin Street after authorities evacuated the school earlier in the morning, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said.
Authorities received reports about the social media threat at 8:24 a.m., prompting warnings to voters to stay away until the scene was cleared.
Shortly before noon, officials cleared the area and let operations resume.
