Fuel truck driver at LAX becomes trapped in crash with airplane
The driver of a fuel truck became trapped when his vehicle crashed into an unoccupied airplane at Los Angeles International Airport, fire authorities said.
The crash occurred about 4:15 p.m. at Terminal 4, said Erik Scott, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department. The driver was quickly extricated and taken to a hospital.
His condition was not immediately available, Scott said. There was no fire or significant fuel leak.
About 40 firefighters responded to the scene. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
