A disc jockey has died and his friend is recovering from knife wounds after being attacked by a mob outside of a San Francisco nightclub.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that 29-year-old Joseph Razo died Tuesday after the fight outside the Cellar nightclub last month.
San Francisco police say DJ and Apple data analyst Razo and his friend were leaving the club on Jan. 25 when they noticed a group of at least seven people attacking another friend. The pair waded into the fray to help. Police say someone in the crowd stabbed Razo and his friend before the group of attackers dispersed.
Both injured men were taken to San Francisco General Hospital. The unnamed friend recovered but Razo died this week.
Police have not identified or arrested any suspects in the killing.
