1 dead as truck crashes on Beverly Hills road where cop was killed
At least one person was killed Friday afternoon when a pickup truck was struck by a cement truck in Beverly Hills, the third serious accident in the neighborhood in weeks.
Friday’s fatal crash was reported about 1:53 p.m. in the 1000 block of Loma Vista Avenue, according to Beverly Hills police Sgt. Max Subin.
The cement truck driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition, Subin said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The collision appeared to have occurred on the same street where LAPD Officer Nicholas Lee was killed after a dump truck struck the police cruiser he and another officer were riding in in early March.
A second officer was injured in that crash.
This month, another cement truck lost control and overturned on the same street.
