6,000 customers without power in Venice, Leimert Park

Downed wires and harsh weather left about 6,000 customers without power Wednesday in Venice and Leimert Park.
Terry Schneider of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said the outages in Venice began at about 10:43 a.m. because of downed wires and that some 3,400 customers were without power there.
The outage in Leimert Park started about 12:40 p.m. because of inclement weather. Schneider said that outage was affecting 2,600 customers.
Schneider said crews were in the field and hoped to have the outages fixed in a matter of hours.
