4.6 earthquake strikes Central California
A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck Inyo County on Wednesday evening.
The quake was recorded at 7:11 p.m. and was centered about 39 miles north of Ridgecrest. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, people reported feeling the temblor over a wide area including Mojave, Lompoc, Ridgecrest, Mammoth Lakes and Porterville.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
