One dead in rollover crash on 210 Freeway in Tujunga
A person was ejected from a vehicle and killed in a rollover crash on the 210 Freeway in Tujunga on Sunday afternoon, officials said.
The driver of a red Honda Civic heading west smashed into a mountainside near the La Tuna Canyon Road exit around 2 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Bishop said.
Early reports indicated a Lexus and a tractor-trailer rig may have been involved in the crash. Bishop said he couldn’t confirm which vehicle the victim was ejected from. The person, who hasn’t been identified, was taken to a hospital and died there.
The crash snarled westbound traffic Sunday afternoon, Bishop said, and some lanes remained closed more than two hours after the crash as officials investigated.
