Earthquake: 4.1 temblor strikes near Borrego Springs, Calif.
A shallow magnitude 4.1 earthquake was reported Sunday morning seven miles from Borrego Springs, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:02 a.m. PDT at a depth of 6.8 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 24 miles from La Quinta, 25 miles from Coachella and 28 miles from Indio.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
