Man shot and killed in scuffle with Colton police
Colton police shot and killed a man after receiving a call about a man with a gun at a truck stop, authorities said Wednesday.
Police found the man near Hunts Lane and Steel Road about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, and a struggle began, ending with an officer shooting the man. One officer suffered a minor injury in the struggle, officials said.
A firearm was found at the scene. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the case.
The man’s name was not released because his family had not been notified, county coroner’s officials said.
