Earthquake: 3.4 temblor strikes near Golden Hills, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Monday afternoon 11 miles from Golden Hills, Calif., about 34 miles southeast of Bakersfield, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:35 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 3.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 12 miles from Tehachapi, 19 miles from Arvin and 23 miles from Lamont.
In the last 10 days, there were no other earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
