Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes Riverside County

A shallow, magnitude-3.0 earthquake was reported Wednesday morning in Riverside County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:43 a.m. PDT at a depth of 9.9 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from Idyllwild-Pine Cove, 11 miles from Valle Vista, 13 miles from East Hemet and 14 miles from Palm Springs.
In the past 10 days, there have been five earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
