Prop. 30 provisions
Gov. Jerry Brown’s tax plan, Proposition 30, would:
• Add a quarter-cent to the state sales tax through 2016
• Increase income taxes by 1 to 3 percentage points on individuals earning more than $250,000 a year, through November 2019
• Guarantee money for counties to house low-level felons rather than send them to state prisons
