Shimon Peres: A Quick Takes item in the March 10 Calendar section about Israeli President Shimon Peres visiting the DreamWorks Animation studio in Glendale said that he had spoken earlier in the week to the Israel Political Affairs Committee in Washington. The name of the group is the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Woody Guthrie: An article in the March 12 Calendar about the kickoff event in a yearlong salute to Woody Guthrie said that a three-CD boxed set of his music, “Woody at 100,†was released by the Smithsonian Folkways label last month. The set will be released later this year at a date still to be determined.
Counter Intelligence: In the March 10 edition of Saturday, a column about the evolution of Los Angeles cuisine referred to the move of Mexicali Taco & Co. as from a food truck to an Angeleno Heights storefront. Mexicali Taco & Co. started out as a street stand, and the neighborhood is spelled Angelino Heights.
