Greg Hardy

Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy was arrested in May for allegedly assaulting and threatening his girlfriend. He was convicted in July and sentenced to probation and a 60-day suspended jail sentence. He has been deactivated by the Panthers.  (Dave Martin / Associated Press)

Ray McDonald

San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Ray McDonald was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence on Aug. 31 for allegedly striking his pregnant fiance. Adrian Peterson

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was indicted last week on felony child abuse charges stemming from an incident in May.
