Senior center forward Kelly Pineda scored all three goals, in the 11th, 57th and 70th minutes, to bring her goal total to four for the season. Venice’s Kayla Case scored on a direct free kick in the 69th minute. Belmont (1-0-1) goalkeeper Hedid Toledo made six saves. Venice is 0-1.

L.A. CES 3, Manual Arts 1
Megan Calhoun scored off a corner kick and added an assist as LACES (1-0-1) earned its first win of the season. Vivi-Ana Bergson and Michelle Myers each contributed a goal and Leana Scott registered an assist for L.A. CES

Monroe 2, Canoga Park 0
Goalkeeper Rosalia Hernandez recorded her second shutout of the season for Monroe (2-0). Sandra Morones broke a scoreless halftime tie in the 45th minute on an assist by Hilda Garcia. Teammate Monica Vargas added a goal six minutes later for the Vikings (2-0).

Taft 10, Eagle Rock 1
Natalie Hanassab scored three goals and Hannah Sasson added one goal and seven assists for Taft (2-0), which led 4-0 at halftime. Eagle Rock (0-2) scored in the 70th minute.

INTERSECTIONAL

Chatsworth 1, Village Christian 0
Sara Pallett scored in the 44th minute and goalie Jessica Skowron had four saves for host Chatsworth (1-0). Village Christian fell to 0-2.

Carlyn Real and Sandy Mariscal each had two goals and goalkeeper Evelin Donato had five saves for host Locke (1-1).

Alexandra Mann and Clara Ruiz each had two goals for host Venice.

NONLEAGUE

Belmont 4, L.A. CES 4
Trailing by two goals with less than six minutes remaining, Belmont’s Erica Anavisca scored in the 75th minute and teammate Kelly Pineda added another in the 76th minute to force the tie.

Aura Madrid and Aura Caceres also scored for the Sentinels (0-0-1). Viviana Bergson and Leana Scott netted two goals each for L.A. CES (0-0-1).

Fairfax 4, Verdugo Hills 2
After trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Lions scored four second-half goals for the season-opening win. Stephanie Torres led the way with two goals and one assist.

Other Fairfax goals were scored by Sarah Adame and Julia Mogilenko. Fairfax goalkeeper Yure Bennth made three saves. Verdugo Hills is 0-1.

Granada Hills 1, San Pedro 1
Terry Manqueros scored for San Pedro in the 56th minute, and the Highlanders tied the game with less than a minute remaining. Kristina Ferrizno recorded five saves for San Pedro. Both teams are 0-0-1.

Monroe 3, Grant 0
Monroe scored three times in the second half for a season-opening win. Elba Menjivar scored in the 60th minute off a free kick.

In the 72nd minute, Hilda Garcia contributed a goal off an assist from Laura Miramontes, and Sandra Orozco scored off an assist from Garcia in the 76th minute. Monroe goalkeeper Rosalia Hernandez made six saves.

Hannah Sasson scored a goal and added an assist. Loren Schofield and Joanna Guatemala each contributed a goal in the season opener for both teams.
