Urbano Pizza Bar is moving, to be replaced by 6th St. Tavern
Urbano Pizza Bar has had such a successful run on the corner of 6th and Hope in downtown Los Angeles that its owners, ACME Bar Group, are moving it to an as-yet-undisclosed new location with the intent of possibly opening multiple locations in the future.
ACME Bar Group is the new name established by Michael Leko and Will Shamlian (Library Bar, Spring Street Bar, King Eddy) with partners Jon Valenti and Steen Bojsen-Moller.
“Urbano is going to get bigger, so we decided to use that location for another concept,†says Leko. “I like that location for a one-off concept.â€
Details of that new concept are still scarce but it’s set to open for the first quarter of 2013 and it will be named 6th St. Tavern.
Check back with the Daily Dish for details on the new project after the New Year.
