Courthouse Weddings: The New Trend
Cesilia and Santiago Miranda were married recently at the courthouse in Norwalk. They followed a trend of brides and grooms choosing courthouse weddings to save money.

Timothy Adams, 38, exchanges vows with Christina Valdovinos, 24, with their two daughters from previous marriages as flower girls. The couple chose to get married in the small chapel at the Beverly Hills courthouse to save money and chose it because as Adams said, “It sounds better than Van Nuys courthouse.”

Klaudiusz Kurek, 39, left, exchanges vows with Agnieszka Tomaszkiewicz, 38, at the chapel in the Beverly Hills courthouse. The couple from Torrance said, “We were high school lovers 22 years ago” in their native Poland. When Kurek left for America years ago they lost contact but were reunited one year ago through the website of “Polish Classmates.” Kurek said, “We will have a bigger ceremony when we have a house with a yard and a view of the ocean.”
