The Westfield Group’s new open-air mall, the Village at Westfield Topanga, is set to open in Woodland Hills this weekend with scores of activities.
The list includes yoga, bocce ball, dancing, story time for kids, cooking demonstrations, makeup applications, entertainment, artists -- there’s even a doggie fashion show. Events are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Friday and run through 7 p.m. Sunday. Find a complete list here.
The Village is located at 6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd., directly across from Westfield Topanga. (A trolley service connects the two centers.)
A robust lineup of retailers, service providers and eateries includes Costco, Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Bassett Furniture, Z Gallerie, Sur La Table, Fabletics, Blushington, Burke Williams, Drybar, Il Fornaio, Katsuya, Jonathan Adler, REI, floral studio Fleurish, J. Jill, JET by John Eshaya and others.
Of note, fashion truck J.D. Luxe is opening a new, stationary flagship at the Village on Saturday. The “truck and mortar†store was built around a 1960s utility truck, staying true to the boutique’s mobile roots. An opening event -- including Champagne, music, a photo booth and prizes -- is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the new mall.
Lifestyle expert Nathan Turner is represented with Nathan Turner’s American Style pop-up, featuring a selection of American-made fashion home decor, beauty and general lifestyle products. It is scheduled to be open throughout the fall and early winter.
The mall also plans to host a weekly certified farmers market on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and it will be previewed each day of the grand opening celebration.
