Luxe pajama label Sleepy Jones sets up shop in Santa Monica
Sleepy Jones, the high-end pajama and loungewear brand launched last year by longtime collaborators Andy Spade, Anthony Sperduti and Chad Buri, has opened a West Coast outpost in Santa Monica.
The 650-square-foot Barbara Bestor-designed boutique on Montana Avenue will stock the label’s full range of quirky and colorful men’s and women’s underwear, robes, T-shirts, socks as well as its signature offering of “not-quite-ready-to-wear,†pajama-style tops ($145 to $275) and bottoms ($128 to $265).
In addition, the shop offers a range of other like-minded brands -- think Harry’s razors, Hopewell quilts, Hedgehouse throwbeds and Postalco notebooks -- as well as some vintage home goods and clothing selected by Spade himself.
The Santa Monica store joins a recently opened New York boutique, which makes them, in their words (though we sorely wish we could take credit for the clever pun), a truly “bedcoastal†brand.
Sleepy Jones, 1318 B Montana Ave., Santa Monica, open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
