The hit television show “Mad Men” has become synonymous with the words class and style -- lead character Don Draper’s hat and suit have even been enshrined in the Smithsonian. As the drama enters its final season beginning Sunday, it continues to inspire the stylish, this time via Birchbox. The beauty and grooming company has partnered with AMC to create “Mad Men”-inspired boxes for men and women for the month of April.

“‘Mad Men’ has had a significant impact not only on television and pop culture, but also across fashion, design and art,” said Theresa Beyer, senior vice president of promotion at AMC. “We’re excited to partner with Birchbox on these special edition boxes that truly capture the ‘Mad Men’ spirit and offer fans a unique way to celebrate the end of an era.”

Birchbox, based in New York, sends subscribers a box of beauty and grooming samples monthly. Boxes are tailored for men or women and include anything from skincare items to shampoo to shaving necessities. The subscription fee for men’s boxes is $20 a month; the women’s is $10 a month.

The Birchbox + Mad Men box for men features an assortment that attempts to capture the show’s characters’ sense of style and grooming. Harry’s Truman razor, Baxter of California’s face scrub and a Declan Pocket Square are just a few of the items that subscribers might receive. It is the box male subscribers will receive as their automatic shipment in April.

For Birchbox’s female subscribers, the Mad Men box is an option, not an automatic shipment. The women’s box is stocked with items that can help replicate the show’s mod beauty looks. Products may include Cargo’s Swimmables blush, Liz Earle’s Eyebright eye lotion and Anastasia Beverly Hills’ clear brow gel, among others.

“We hand-picked products that create a contemporary spin on that era’s classic looks,” said Katia Beauchamp, Birchbox co-founder and co-chief executive. “We are so excited to extend the show’s signature aesthetic to our customers and encourage them to share their personal interpretations of ‘Mad Men’ style with us.”

Men who sign up by April 11 will be able to receive the men’s box. The women’s box launched at the end of March.
