MTV2 orders new seasons of ‘Wild ‘N Out,’ ‘Ain’t That America’
MTV2 has ordered new seasons of the series “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out†and “Ain’t That America with Lil Duval,†the network announced Tuesday.
“Wild ‘N Out†is the highest-rated program in the history of the male-skewing network, averaging 1.1 million total viewers and regularly winning its time period across cable among viewers ages 12 to 34.
The sketch and improv comedy show aired on sibling network MTV from 2005 to 2007 and was revived on MTV2 this year. It is hosted by the seemingly ubiquitous musician and actor Nick Cannon, also emcee of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.â€

“Ain’t That America,†a clip show hosted by stand-up comedian Lil Duval, premiered this year following “Wild ‘N Out†and is the network’s second-highest rated program, averaging about 800,000 viewers.
The renewals come following the highest-rated year in MTV2’s 17-year history. When it launched in 1996, the network provided an all-music video alternative to MTV’s increasingly reality-driven lineup, but has since shifted its focus to male-oriented, non-scripted programming.
