Memorial Day James Cromwell shares a role with his son John Cromwell in this 2011 drama. James plays the older incarnation of a World War II soldier who has never discussed his military experience — until he strikes a deal with his grandson (a part split between Jonathan Bennett and Jackson Bond) to relate the stories behind his wartime mementos. 8 p.m. KTLA
Ring of Fire This heartfelt new biopic, starring four-time Grammy nominee Jewel as June Carter Cash, focuses on her meteoric rise to country music fame with the Carter Family and her life before and during her tumultuous marriage to Johnny Cash. Frances Conroy also stars. 9 p.m. Lifetime
