“Fashion Police†will return next year with Kathy Griffin as its new host.

Griffin, the 54-year-old comedian, is taking over from Joan Rivers, who died in September. Rivers had hosted the E! channel show since 2010.

Griffin is no stranger to the fashion tweaking franchise, in which comedians and other style mavens riff on their opinions of celebs’ red carpet couture. She appeared previously as a panelist in 2013.

Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne will return to the series and they will be joined by new panelist Brad Goreski, who previously starred in his own Bravo series, “It’s a Brad, Brad World.â€

“Fashion Police†will air 17 episodes in 2015, all tied to various awards and fashion events, beginning on Jan. 12 with the Golden Globes.

Rivers died following complications during an otherwise minor throat procedure at an outpatient clinic in New York City. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, will continue as “Fashion Police†executive producer.

In a statement, Melissa Rivers said, “I’m excited to see where this panel takes this series my mother so adored in this next incarnation.â€

Griffin, who has a following from her own Bravo reality series, “My Life on the D-List,†and her New Year’s Eve hosting gigs with Anderson Cooper on CNN, has cited Rivers as a major influence on her own stand-up.
