âAsh vs. Evil Deadâ serves as a continuation of Sam Raimiâs âEvil Deadâ films, which starred Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, a monster hunter with a chainsaw hand. Campbell reprises the role in the Starz series, alongside Lucy Lawless. Raimi and Rob Tapert, producers of the original film series, executive produce the show, while newcomer Craig DiGregorio serves as showrunner. All are set to return for Season Two.
According to Carmi Zlotnick, managing director of Starz: âOne season isnât enough to satisfy the fansâ two decade-long appetite for more Ash. The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story, have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams canât end with Season One.â
