Teri Hatcher: ‘Desperate Housewives’ movie ‘would be great’
Dust off the Wisteria Lane set: Teri Hatcher thinks a “Desperate Housewives†movie “would be great.â€
“I love the fans of the show so much, and they don’t seem to be done with those characters,†the 48-year-old actress said in an interview with Extra. “I think it would be great for them.â€
The seriocomic nighttime soap ran eight seasons on ABC until 2012, with Hatcher playing the romantically questing Everywoman Susan Mayer.
But “Housewives†fans, don’t get your hopes up.
Hatcher added: “If a [movie] script ever came across my lap, I would read it, hoping that it would work out, but I don’t really see that happening.â€
An ABC spokeswoman said the network had no comment.
This is not the first time the notion of a “Housewives†feature has come up. Last year, costar Eva Longoria said that creator Marc Cherry had rejected the notion of a movie because the series had made so many episodes it would be hard to take the characters somewhere new. “We won’t do a movie,†Longoria was quoted as saying.
What do you think of the possibility of a “Housewives†movie reunion?
