“Jeopardy!†host Alex Trebek reassured fans on Wednesday that he’s “feeling good†in the wake of his pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

In a video posted on Twitter, Trebek celebrated the last day of taping the trivia show’s 35th-anniversary season with a greeting to viewers.

“I’ve always tried to be straight with you, and I’m not going to stop now,†the 78-year-old said. “So, despite what you may have heard, I’m feeling good, I’m continuing with my therapy, and we — by we, the staff — is already working on our next season.â€

His primary plan for the next few months is to concentrate on his health, the show noted in the video’s description. “Jeopardy!†is scheduled to resume taping episodes for Season 36 in July and it premieres in September.

The professorial host, who has helmed the reverse-quiz show since 1984, shocked fans in March when he announced that he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. However, he vowed to fight the often-terminal disease and keep working, joking that under the terms of his contract, he has to host the show for three more years.

Trebek appeared in 50 episodes of the show this season, which featured this month’s rise of professional sports gambler James Holzhauer. Holzhauer broke the record for single-day cash winnings by earning more than $110,000. (He taped his episode on Feb. 11 ahead of Trebek’s cancer announcement.)

Emmy winner Trebek had been contemplating retirement for some time and last took leave from the series in 2018 after undergoing surgery to remove a subdural hematoma from his brain.

He made a snappy recovery, however, returning to his job less than a month later.
