Criminal Minds Adam Rodriguez, formerly of “CSI: Miami,” joins the cast as a new team member during a search for a killer who made a prison break along with 13 others. Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna and A.J. Cook also star in the season premiere. 9 p.m. CBS
Modern Family Jay (Ed O’Neill) tries to make a good first impression on new neighbors while Manny (Rico Rodriguez) aims to appeal to a young woman with an unconventional mind-set. Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara also star. 9 p.m. ABC

India: Nature’s Wonderland This documentary series surveying India’s wildlife concludes with a look at demoiselle cranes, tahr goats, one-horned rhinos, tiny pika, lion-tailed macaques and a mass hatching of olive ridley turtles.10 p.m. KOCE and KPBS
