Justin Bieber will perform at MTV Video Music Awards; ‘I’m back,’ he says
The Justin Bieber comeback train has scheduled another stop.
Days after he appeared with Skrillex at the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival in New York, the beleaguered pop star said Wednesday that he’ll take to this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards to perform his new single, “What Do You Mean,†for the first time.

“I’m back,†he tweeted along with a clip of rehearsal footage.
Bieber, last seen on the VMAs stage in 2010, is expected to release “What Do You Mean†on Friday. It follows “Where Are U Now,†his hit collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo, and is being described as the lead single from Bieber’s upcoming studio album, which features Diplo in a “pivotal role,†according to the singer’s manager, Scooter Braun.
Other performers set to appear on Sunday’s VMAs include the Weeknd, Pharrell Williams, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Demi Lovato and ASAP Rocky. Miley Cyrus will host, while Kanye West is to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
