The Las Vegas Strip isn’t just for sparkly pop divas, electronic dance music kings and beloved icons from generations past. Adding to the growing list of hip-hop acts making the pilgrimage to Sin City, Big Boi has announced a yearlong residency at the Wynn Las Vegas.

The co-founder of pioneering Atlanta hip-hop duo OutKast – he launched his solo career with 2010’s critically acclaimed “Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty†-- will perform monthly at the Wynn’s daylife and nightlife venues, the luxury resort announced alongside the rapper’s label, Epic Records, on Tuesday.

Big Boi’s monthly stint kicks off Saturday, with dates through the end of the year. He joins a deep roster of talent that the Wynn has tapped to anchor its clubs: Alesso, Avicii, David Guetta, Diplo, Flosstradamus and Skrillex are all on Wynn’s rotation of acts.

Within the last year, hip-hop residencies have been on the rise in Vegas with Drai’s Nightclub, a longtime hotspot for hip-hop artists and their entourages, leading the charge of bookings.

The indoor-outdoor complex has booked multi-gig performances from Big Sean, the Weeknd and Chris Brown, and its Drai’s Live concert series has seen performances from Nicki Minaj, ASAP Rocky, Trey Songz, Miguel and Fabolous.

Big Boi will juggle the Vegas commitment with touring dates with Big Grams, his experimental collaboration with electronic rock duo Phantogram.

Big Grams will perform more than a dozen shows across the U.S. in support of its stellar 2015 self-titled debut, including a slot at the Air + Style festival on Feb. 21 at Exposition Park.
