Adele on her new ‘25’ album: ‘Sorry it took so long’
British pop star Adele has reemerged with an apology to fans for the long wait for a successor to her Grammy-winning 2011 album “21,†announcing on her Twitter feed, “I’m sorry it took so long, but, you know, life happened.â€
She revealed that her third album, following her debut, “19,†and her sophomore release “21,†the top-selling album of this decade so far, will be titled “25.†No release date was included in her note.

The acclaimed neo-soul singer and songwriter also gave a few hints of what’s to come thematically.
“My last record was a break-up record, and if I had to label this one, I would call it a make-up record,†she said. “I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.â€
She described turning 25 last year as “a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties.â€
Beyond that, there was nothing in her note about the son she has with businessman Simon Konecki, or other specifics about her life now.
