Adele gives birth to a son, reports say
British singer Adele has given birth to a baby boy, according to various reports in the U.K. media.
Further information is scarce at this point -- her website lists no official announcement and reps have declined to comment so far. The 24-year-old singer announced in June that she was expecting a child with her partner, Simon Konecki.
Adele became one of the biggest stars in music with 2011’s “21,†which has sold close to 10 million copies in the U.S. alone.
In September, the album passed Michael Jackson’s “Thriller†for time spent in the Billboard Top 10, making it the album with longest staying power on the chart in 50 years.
More recently, Adele also recorded and co-wrote the theme song for the new James Bond thriller, “Skyfall.â€
