Rihanna has canceled her concert in Nice, France, after a terror attack on Thursday during a Bastille Day celebration killed at least 84 people and injured more than 100 .

“Due to the tragic events in #Nice, my concert scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned,†she wrote on Instagram on Thursday evening. “Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.â€

The pop star was in Nice gearing up for Friday’s show as part of her Anti World Tour when the attack occurred.

The Nice Jazz Festival, due to open on Saturday, has also been canceled.

Late Thursday, a fireworks display in the southern French resort city became the latest in a string of deadly terrorist attacks to hit Europe when a truck loaded with weapons plowed through the crowd of revellers.

Thousands of people were packed along the Promenade des Anglais for the fireworks show when a truck accelerated through the crowd, fatally crushed people, including children, for more than a mile.

The driver was shot and killed by police, and local authorities said the truck was full of arms and grenades, according to our report.

Just hours before the attack, President Francois Hollande had announced the state of emergency had been lifted. The measure had been in place since the devastating attack in November in which assailants armed with guns and bombs killed 130 people across multiple locations in Paris, including a packed concert hall and outside a sports stadium.

Hollande extended the measure for three more months following Thursday’s attack.
