Independent Spirit Awards 2015: Complete list of nominees and winners
“Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)†won the Spirit Award for best feature at the 30th Film Independent Spirit Awards.
The film also won the award in the male lead category for actor Michael Keaton and in cinematography, making “Birdman†the top winner of the night.
The other acting awards went to Julianne Moore for female lead, J.K. Simmons for supporting male and Patricia Arquette for supporting female.
The award for director went to Richard Linklater for “Boyhood,†although actor Ethan Hawke accepted the award on Linklater’s behalf.
Actors Fred Armisen and Kristen Bell hosted the live telecast.
